Raspberry:

At first glance, this raspberry sour beer impresses with its strong, deep red colour, reminiscent of ripe raspberries. The taste develops an intense, warming note of sweet raspberry jam, balanced harmoniously with a mild acidity.

Cranberry:

The cranberry sour beer shimmers in a bright yellow orange and catches the eye with its vibrant color. The two-year aging in Slyrs whisky wooden casks gives this sour beer a special depth and elegance. On the palate, an intense, fruity cranberry flavor unfolds, accompanied by a slight tartness. The balanced, pleasant acidity rounds out the drinking experience, giving the beer a refreshing liveliness that lingers long after.

The story behind this collaboration:

Our long-standing connection and friendship with the brewery Camba Bavaria from Seeon am Chiemsee in Bavaria, is a special chapter of our brewing history.

As a loyal BrauKon customer and a member of the “Glorreichen 7”, a network of seven friendly brewers, brewery owners or operators of beer hotels, including our brewmaster Peter Krammer, we value common values and passion for exceptional beers.

The close collaboration gave us the opportunity to create creative fruit beers.

These beers, which, due to the Bavarian purity requirement, were not refined with fruit at our friends from Camba Bavaria, but at our Landbrauhaus Hofstetten, reflect our shared joy of innovation.

This resulted in four exceptional cask aged beers: a raspberry, cranberry, sour cherry sour beer and a special sour beer without fruit. The different varieties were fermented with the Camba Bavaria bourbon cultures and impresses with fine wood notes as well as sour fruity aromas.

Brewed and infused with Camba sour cultures, these sour beers were partly filled with fruit puree in Slyr's whisky oak barrels. Over two years, they were matured in the brewery's deep vaulted cellars before being tasted and partly dazzled by two brewers, Markus Lohner of Camba Bavaira and Peter Krammer. Hand bottled and labelled in Hofstetten, they also found their way to Germany and are true masterpieces of brewing art.
